Article summary

Forms are an integral part of Agility Blue and are used as the foundation for workflow management when creating and reading Tasks. After a Form has been created, it is available for use while creating or editing a Task. The Workspace has a collection of Forms that can be used either alone or in conjunction with other Forms while a Task is being created or updated. This allows Tasks to be very flexible with how instructions are conveyed to Users.

There are three distinct areas within Agility Blue where Forms are utilized depending on what level of interest or interaction a User needs:

  • Managing Forms. Forms are maintained under the “Forms” menu selection under the vertical ellipsis menu. Form management is for Users who are interested in creating, modifying, or deleting Forms. These Users must understand how Forms are used by Task creators (Users that fill out Forms) and Users that need to read Tasks (Users that read Forms).
  • Creating Tasks. When a User creates a Task, they are required to use at least one Form in order to convey information or provide instructions for the Task. After selecting a Form, the User is presented with the Sections and Fields for that Form so that they may fill out the Form. This is how information is presented to Users within the Task. Users that are interested or charged with only creating and maintaining Tasks must understand how to fill out the available Forms, but don’t necessarily need to understand the details involved in creating and maintaining Forms.
  • Reading Tasks. When a Task is created, the information used to fill out the Form is presented in a read-only format within the Project details screen. Users that are only interested or charged with only reading Tasks do not necessarily need to understand how Forms or Tasks are created and maintained.
