Identity Services

Agility Blue Identity Services is a collection of services used for managing and maintaining the identity account of a person or resource who wishes to gain access to protected Agility Blue resources. Typically, there is only one Agility Blue identity account per user, however, there may be more than one way to login to that identity account. There are essentially two types of login methods available: Local and External.

Local Authentication

Local authentication uses the traditional method of requiring a username and a password in order to gain access to the application. All Agility Blue accounts have this login method available for their identity account. Users also have the option to enable two-factor authentication alongside local authentication.

External Authentication

External authentication uses third party identity providers (idP) to verify the identity of the user (such as Google, Microsoft, or Windows Credentials). This process is also known as Single Sign-On. An identity provider must first be linked to an Agility Blue user account before it can be used.
