Installing the Outlook Add-in

Installation Options

There are a few ways the Agility Blue Outlook Add-in can be installed: directly within Outlook’s add-in interface, from Microsoft’s AppSource store, or through the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Notice

Agility Blue support will not be able to troubleshoot issues with your Outlook or the installation process for apps and add-ins for your organization. Many IT departments block users from directly installing add-ins, require elevated permissions/administrator intervention, or have specific policies in place that may cause issues when attempting to install add-ins. Please consult with your IT department for support with installing add-ins if you’re having any trouble.

Install through Outlook’s Add-in Interface (Desktop or Web)

The following instructions and screenshots are for the “new” version of Outlook 365 on Windows, but the instructions are similar across platforms. Consult with the Microsoft documentation or your IT department on instructions for installing add-ins for other Outlook versions or operating systems for your specific setup.

Windows Users Notice: For older/legacy versions of Outlook, first ensure that you have WebView2 installed or the add-in will not work.

To install the add-in for yourself within new Outlook’s add-in interface:

  1. On the left-hand tab bar, choose the More apps button and click on the Add apps button in the fly-out dialog.

  2. In the Apps interface, type “agility blue” into the search bar and select the Agility Blue app.

  3. Click on the Add button to add the add-in to your Outlook.

You will now have the Agility Blue add-in available within your Outlook across any device you have Outlook installed and are ready to begin using it.

Note: If you don’t see the add-in button on the ribbon bar or when selecting a message, first try closing Outlook and starting it up again. You may need to wait a little while before it’s available, otherwise contact your IT department for further troubleshooting.

Install through Microsoft AppSource

You can install the Agility Blue Outlook add-in directly through Microsoft’s AppSource storefront by following these instructions:

  1. Navigate to https://appsource.microsoft.com, ensure that the dropdown indicates Apps and type “agility blue” into the search bar OR navigate directly to the app: https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/office/WA200009243

  2. Click on the Get it now button on the Agility Blue app card.

  3. A confirmation window will appear. Click on the Get it now button.

Install through Microsoft 365 Admin Center

This installation option is best if you have access to the Microsoft 365 admin center and for IT administrators because this option allows remote deployment and central management of the add-in across multiple groups or users. This may also be the only option that IT departments support for installing add-ins.

  1. Login to the Microsoft 365 admin center with an account that has permission to install integrated apps for tenant users and navigate to SettingsIntegrated Apps and click on the Get apps button.

  2. Search for “agility blue” in the AppSource dialog window that opens.

  3. Determine which users should receive the add-in and click on the Next button.

  4. On the next step, click on the Finish deployment button.

  5. After the deployment completes, click on the Done button. Notice that the deployment indicates that it can take up to 72 hours for the app to appear and that users may need to relaunch their Outlook to view the add-in icon on the app ribbon.

After some time, the selected users will have the Agility Blue add-in available within their Outlook across any device they have Outlook installed and are ready to begin using it.
