Projects can be created from Project Templates in several ways:
While Creating a New Project. To the right of the Description field in the new Project dialog window, the first button allows you to select from a list of available Project Templates.
From the Project Templates Gridview. To the far left of each row in the Project Templates Gridview, you can click on the plus icon to create a new Project from the referenced template on that row.
From a Project Template details screen. Within a Project Template details screen, a new Project based on the currently viewed template can be created from the “Create a Project” button.
Once a template has been selected for use, information from that template is transferred to the new Project dialog window. A Project template can be used to create any type of project, including another Project template.
The copied tasks that are included with the Project Template are shown at the bottom of the new Project dialog window.
Due dates can be changed for each task. Click the clock icon to the right of the date/time selectors to have the Project Due On date copied.
If you don’t want a specific Task to be included in the new Project, it can be unselected using the checkbox on the far left of each row.
Tasks can be edited and filled out in more detail using the edit icon on the left of each row. Please note that you will not be able create a Project that has Tasks where required fields are not filled out (unless the Project is a Template Project type).
